Sweden, the Cheapest Squad in the 2018 World Cup Final Quarter
Swedish national team became a squad with a total price of 23 players cheapest compared to seven quarterfinals of other finalists at the 2018 World Cup.
Sweden managed to qualify for the quarterfinals after beating Switzerland 1-0 at at the Saint-Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday (3/7/2018).
The fact that Sweden are the cheapest team in the quarter-finals is certainly quite surprising.
This is because there are only two Swedish players playing in the Swedish domestic club. Both players are Andreas Granqvist (Helsingborg) and Sebastian Larsson (AIK Fotboll).
Based on the website Transfermarkt, Swedish national team has a market value of 119.75 million euros, equivalent to Rp 2 trillion.
With the total then each player has an average market value of 5.21 million euros, or about Rp 87 billion.
The most expensive players in the current squad are Emil Forsberg (RB Leipzig) and Victor Lindelof (Manchester United) for 25 million euros (about Rp 418 billion).
Meanwhile, the team with the highest market value in the World Cup quarterfinal this time is France with a figure of 1.08 billion euros (about Rp 18 trillion).
This is due to the presence of players like Kylian Mbappe (120 million euros), Antoine Griezmann (100), Paul Pogba (90), and Ousmane Dembele (80) as the most expensive player in the Les Bleus squad.
Under France, there is the Brazilian national team with a value of 981 million euros.
