Cause of Suzuki Production in June 2018 Will Decrease

Suzuki vehicle production in June 2018 will decrease around 5-10 percent because in the next month there will be Eid day holiday about 10 days or about 33 percent of working days in a month.

“If we see the working days (decrease) 30 percent, the production only decrease 5-10 percent,” said Donny Saputra, 4W Marketing Director of PT SIS, in Jakarta, Monday, May 28.

He explained that there will be a working time arrangement to overcome the number of Eid day holiday next month. Thus, the working hours to produce Suzuki vehicles remain the same.

The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) noted the Suzuki car vehicle production in the first four months of this year reached 43,275 units.

Suzuki car vehicle production in April 2018 was 2660 units lower when compared to the previous month, 12,061 units or minus 21.6 percent.

Not much different with production, the retail sales of Suzuki also lower than the previous month, from 10,020 units to 9,448 units.

Then, the sales to wholesales Suzuki decreased 12.6 percent in April compared to March 2018.

Gaikindo noted, the sales to Suzuki dealer last month reached 8,505 units, while in March was 9,729 units.
