Halsey on Her Relationship With G-Eazy: ‘We Need Each Other to Make Each Other Better’

Halsey opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend G-Eazy during her chat with Billboard’s Chelsea Briggs on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 20), revealing how they keep each other motivated and inspired as musicians.

“We’re both each other’s biggest fan and also each other’s hardest critic, so we can tell each other the stuff that other people might be afraid to say to us,” Halsey explains, adding that they will tell each other if they mess up choreography or lyrics onstage.

“We need each other to make each other better,” she says. “The best thing I think that you can be for your partner or look for in a partner is someone who wants you to be a better you.”

It’s not all tough love, though, as she notes there is also “a lot of squishy love, too.”
