Asian Games 2018: Indonesian Pencak Silat Confident Winner General
The martial arts sports branch is optimistic to be the overall champion in the 2018 Asian Games which will take place in Jakarta and Palembang, 18 August to 2 September. The preparation of the athletes has now reached the stage leading to the championship.
“In general, the preparation runs in accordance with the program, the athletes are ready, with the preparation we are optimistic to be the overall champion,” said head coach Rony Syaifulloh at Padepokan Pencak Silat TMII Jakarta on Thursday.
In this four-year championship, Indonesia will drop in 16 of the 22 contested numbers. There are 22 athletes descended with details of 12 sons and 10 daughters. The dominant number will be the seven male and three female numbers.
In addition to the number of matches, at the 2018 Asian Games will also match the number of arts consisting of men and women’s doubles and teams of boys and girls.
“The target of the government is indeed three, but we are still targeting the overall champion, to be the overall champion we have to reach six to eight gold,” Rony added.
Related to the percentage from which the medal targets must be met, Ron explains that art and match have equal opportunities. With these conditions it hopes all athletes can achieve maximum results.
“For me, the preparation is 80 percent, live adaptation with match and mental location only,” said Yola Prima’s athlete athlete Jampil Lubis at the sidelines of the exercise.
In order to see the preparedness of athletes before the official match, Menpora Imam Nahrawi Tour de Pelatnas and supported by dozens of bloggers and social media activists in the hope that the 2018 Asian Games can be maximal.
“Let’s all support Indonesian athletes, so we invite them (bloggers and social media activists) here to take a closer look and echo Indonesian preparations,” said Menpora Imam Nahrawi.
Branch pencak silat is one of the granaries to win the gold medal. Menpora promises gold medalist will be drenched bonus of Rp 1.5 billion.
