AP250 ARRC Japan: 3 Indonesian Racers Occupy Podium
The Indonesian racers finally occupied the podium in the Asia Production 250 cc Asia Road Racing Championship or ARRC at the Suzuka Circuit, Japan, June 3.
Rheza Danica Ahrens reoccupied his highest podium after the previous race at odds of 8.652 seconds from the second-place winner Mario Suryo Aji, his partner at Astra Honda Racing Team.
Mario Aji had compete with the Manual Tech Kawasaki racer, Andi Muhammad Fadly; Thai Yamaha racers Anupab Sarmoon, Ahwin Sanjaya; and Honda Thailand racer, Muklada Sarapuech.
The race was won by Mario, followed by Fadly. Kawasaki able to offset the performance of Honda and Yamaha on a track colored with a long straight trajectory.
The race began with Fadly who was able to be in front. However, in just two corners, Rheza reversed the condition and overtook Fadly.
After that, Rheza left behind the other racers. In just three laps, Rheza showed his strength at the Suzuka Circuit by leaving his opponents for more than six seconds, which continued until the end of the race.
“Today is the best day for me with a win today and yesterday. Thank you for the team,” he said after the race.
The fierceness of the competition had an impact on a very violent accident, experienced by Muklada Sarapuech of Honda Thailand.
When entering the S bend, the motorcycle wheel driven by Muklada touched his teammate motorcycle. When entering the corner, the speed of the motorcycle was still high enough to cause the motorcycle thrown, causing damage reached 50 percent.
