Kathryn, Daniel Set to Invade Myanmar, Latin America
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are set to conquer Myanmar with the acquisition of “La Luna Sangre” by MKCS Global.
At the same time, their movie “She’s Dating the Gangster” will be shown in Latin America after it was acquired by Spanish-language movie channel Cinelatino.
With the distribution deal signed by ABS-CBN with MKCS Global, four teleserye titles that also include “And I Love You So,” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” Season 2 will be shown on Myanmar channels MWD and MRTV 4.
MKCS Global and ABS-CBN started doing business in 2011 and since then, the two have provided quality Filipino content to Burmese audiences. Some ABS-CBN dramas that have already aired in Myanmar are “Born For You,” “Be My Lady,” and “All of Me.”
Meanwhile, aside from “She’s Dating the Gangster,” other Star Cinema movies “Unexpectedly Yours,” “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” “Bride for Rent,” “Always Be My Maybe,” and “Extra Service” will be available throughout Latin America, as well as the United States and Canada, via cable, satellite, and IPTV services with ABS-CBN’s deal with Cinelatino.
“We are certainly proud of this win early on this year and our goal will always be to continuously provide high-caliber programs and movies with cast and storylines that appeal to various cultures. We are certain that this will also boost our continuing efforts to introduce new talents to the global stage,” said Macie Imperial, ABS-CBN’s vice president for integrated acquisitions and international sales and distribution.
ABS-CBN has now sold over 40,000 hours of content worldwide.
