Asian Games 2018, Some Schools to be on Holiday
The 2018 Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) ensures school activities will be ceased for awhile during the 2018 Asian Games for holiday, on 18 August 2018 to 2 September 2018. However, it will only be applied to some schools.
“I think (school holiday) it’s a decision, but in a certain zone, it will not be entirely because they have to learn,” INASGOC Chairman Erick Thohir said when met at the World Press Briefing at Hotel Borobudur, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 2.
Congestion becomes the main problem in organizing Asian Games 2018. The reason, the distance from Athletes Guesthouse in Kemayoran to the venue of the match in Gelora Bung Karno and surrounding areas must be within a maximum of 32 minutes.
Therefore, Erick said it will only be applied in some areas close to the location of Asian Games 2018 activities only.
In addition, there is also a discourse about using a special toll road and using the Transjakarta path for the vehicles participating in the 2018 Asian Games.
