Arsenal Boasts of Getting Rid of CSKA in The Quarterfinal
Arsenal has boasted they would get rid of CSKA Moscow in the Europa League quarterfinals as the London Cannon team has been having a positive note in recent weeks.
The statement was delivered directly by Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere ahead of his first meeting with CSKA Moscow this week.
Previously, Arsenal successful won 3-0 over Stoke City in the advanced stage of Premier League last weekend. Three goals were made by Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (two goals) and Alexandre Lacazette.
Of course these three points are good capital against CSKA Moscow. Especially since this is the quarterfinals of the first European competition in the last eight years.
“The game against CSKA is huge, but we are very ready to face it,” said Wilshere as reported by the Evening Standard.
“For 90 minutes we should be on our stoe, and a good momentum should continue,” he added.
Arsenal has been unbeaten in the last four games in all competitions. They only let in one goal in all four matches.
Arsene Wenger’s team also qualifies for the Europa League quarterfinals with convincing results. The team won twice against Italian giant AC Milan.
“We want to keep this winning streak so three points are mandatory against CSKA,” Wilshere said.
In the Premier League Arsenal is stuck in sixth position. They collected 51 points from 31 matches.
