Sam Smith, A Documented Harmonizer, Mourns the Loss of Fifth Harmony

Fans all over the world were disappointed when Fifth Harmony announced Monday (March 19) they were taking a hiatus. After six years of working together, the foursome tweeted a statement explaining their decision, citing the pursuit of solo careers.

Among those heartbroken Harmonizers was crooner Sam Smith, who tweeted a resounding “NO!” — with no less than 20 exclamation points.

Smith previously met Fifth Harmony when they all joined James Corden for “Carpool Karaoke.” In the clip, 5H surprised him by singing their track “Work From Home,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Meeting the group, according to Smith, was “a dream.”

Although their hiatus is indefinite, Fifth Harmony will finish out their planned tour dates for the year, including a stop in Hollywood, Florida. Between this and their 2017 self-titled release, Smith and other Harmonizers have ample opportunity to enjoy Fifth Harmony while they still can.
