What Position is Suitable for Ahok?

Political observer, Emrus Sihombing assess Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or AHOK suitable to be appointed special minister of state inspectorate institutions.

Ahok has a chance to become a minister if President Joko Widodo is re-elected in the 2019 presidential election.

“Their relationship is close enough, they both want a change, if Jokowi is re-elected to form a new ministry, for example, the Ministry of State Inspectorate Institution,” said Emrus to JPNN on Thursday (15/3).

According to this Pelita Harapan University’s lecturer, the Ministry of Inspectorate stands alone to be more effective in overseeing the performance of all existing ministries and state institutions.

“Inspectorates do exist in every ministry, but each one is under minister so it is less toothed. Why not just pull it under a special ministry,” said Emrus.

“Ahok is very good there, he can not be compromised, Ahok also can be trusted, the institution will be able to supervise the provinces, districts / cities as well, the government can clean,” said Emrus.
