Race 3 – Anil Kapoor to Play a Family Patriarch in the Salman Khan Starrer
Race 3 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018 with an amazing star cast including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah.
Anil is the only actor who was a part of the other two instalments of Race franchise released in the year 2008 and 2013 respectively. In both the films, he played the role of Robert D’Costa aka R.D, a private detective.
Talking about Anil’s character, producer Ramesh Taurani stated to the leading tabloid, “It’s a new story with new principal characters, so we wanted Anil to come back as a new character who serves as a catalyst to the story. He has a full-fledged role as the family patriarch and it’s a totally new look.”
He further rubbished rumours of Anil playing Salman’s father in the film. Taurani added, “Since Anil is already very fit, he didn’t have to go through a body transformation.”

Today, Salman revealed his character’s name in Race 3 by tweeting, “Is hafte milata hoon #Race3 ki family se … mera naam hai Sikander. Selfless over selfish . #Race3ThisEid @tipsofficial @SKFilmsOfficial”
While Anil quote tweeted it stating, “Introducing our first racer, Sikander.. for him family isn’t a word, it’s a sentence! #Race3ThisEid @BeingSalmanKhan @SKFilmsOfficial @tipsofficial”
