Emilia Clarke Thinks ‘Game of Thrones’ Creators Will Make ‘Star Wars’ on Acid

Emilia Clarke can’t wait to see what her “Game of Thrones” cohorts David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will create once they’ve set their sights on “Star Wars.”

Clarke plays new “Star Wars” character Qi’ra the childhood friend of legacy character Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich) in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” But before she was snuggling up with the legendary space smuggler, Clarke made her mark as the mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

And recently, the show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have been hired by Lucasfilm to write a whole new series (with all new characters) in that same galaxy far, far away. While doing press for “Solo” Variety asked Clarke what she made of the decision to snatch the TV creators, and what they’d bring to the franchise overall?

Clarke stated that the duo’s work on the fantasy series has already proved their genre bonafides, remarking that they’re already been creating great genre work for a massive audience.

But then the Khaleesi went big, real big, and predicted whatever they do it will be like, “‘Star Wars’ on acid.”
