Indonesia U23 Desperate to Score Goal in Match Against Uzbekistan

After failing to collect a win in previous matches, Indonesia’s under 23 (U-23) football team is set to face Uzbekistan in the final match of the 2018 PSSI Anniversary Cup that will be held at the Pakansari Stadium in Bogor on Thursday, May 3.

The squad led by coach Luis Milla did not only fail to win any matches, the team has also yet scored a goal despite playing an exceptional game during the match against North Korea on Monday by opening several attacks on the opponents goal post.

“We actually have an opportunity to win, especially through a counter attack, but North Korea’s defense was exceptionally strong. We admit that the final leg of a match is what the U-23 team needs to improve at. Hopefully we can overcome this and score a goal in the upcoming match,” said Luis Milla.

The U-23 team must produce an all-out performance in the upcoming match considering that the weight on their shoulders has been lifted by the fact that the team has lost its chance to become champion. The Indonesia VS Uzbekistan match will be Milla’s last chance to prove that the Garuda Squad can play competitive and score goals.

The PSSI Anniversary Cup 2018 match between Indonesia VS Uzbekistan will be broadcast live by RCTI at 07:30 PM.
