Got Tumor, Daniel Mananta Closer to God

Fear brings Daniel Mananta closer to God. It begins when benign tumors nest in his vocal cords, which makes Daniel feel lost as a presenter.

Daniel Mananta claimed to have undergone vocal cord surgery. But the surgery does not necessarily make his voice straight back as usual. Daniel recognized, the condition he was experienced several months before Indonesian Idol 2012.

“There I was really scared, and there I got closer to God when Regina auditioned, initially my voice was very strange, where I also found my lost voice again,” Daniel Mananta recalled in Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/4).

Not only did he regain his lost voice, Daniel admitted to feeling the great power of God over his career. He won the Panasonic Awards’ favorite presenter, and many times became a nominee for the same category.

“So I see, because of that I’m getting closer to God and this is so crazy, our rating then beat the season 1 rating, the best moment really,” he explained.

And at that time, Daniel had felt losing his identity as a presenter. In times of fear of haunting, Daniel tried to rely on God Almighty.

“When the challenge was great, when my fear was great, there I was with God, and the reward was great,” he said.
